Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC)-the country’s first leadership institute\u2014builds leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship skills in youth from diverse backgrounds, nurtures their values of integrity, respect, and empathy, and connects them to jobs and business opportunities. With the aim to develop compassionate, competent, and courageous leaders, BYLC envisions that these youth will have a high impact in the public, private, and civil sectors and demonstrate proactive actions for positive socio-economic and environmental changes. By empowering young people to act on behalf of issues they deeply care about, BYLC aspires to create a prosperous, just, inclusive society and a sustainable world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Purpose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jaagoron project is a civic engagement initiative to be implemented in Dhaka, Manikganj, Gazipur, Chattogram, and Satkhira districts. Led by BYLC in partnership with YPSA and Agrogoti Sangstha, the project aims to empower youth to lead inclusive, rights-based local development through enhanced civic awareness, leadership, and engagement. Project activities will include forming youth groups and engaging existing YLOs, CBOs and OPDs. These groups will receive leadership and civic engagement training and will raise awareness on civic rights through youth meetings and dialogues at the community, union, and upazila levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jaagoron is an anticipated project. The recruitment process is ongoing now. Finally selected candidates will be onboarded after receiving the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The primary responsibility of the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer is to conduct monitoring and evaluation activities of the Jaagoron project and to support the Manager, RME at BYLC in ensuring smooth project implementation. The position holder will also document the field data, analyse the data and share key findings, lessons and knowledge with senior management for decision-making and effective project operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major responsibilities (detailed job description will be available for short-listed candidates)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Develop and implement an effective M&E system to capture project outputs, outcomes, and impacts
\u25cf Conduct issue-based monitoring, analyze findings, and share insights for improved project performance
\u25cf Ensure proper data management systems for accurate, reliable, and timely M&E data collection and reporting
\u25cf Lead program evaluations, analyze data, and prepare progress and evaluation reports for stakeholders
\u25cf Facilitate impact assessments, research activities, and dissemination of findings and learnings
\u25cf Identify team development needs, arrange capacity-building initiatives, and promote a positive work environment
\u25cf Uphold and promote BYLC\u2019s organizational values through awareness and consistent practice among team members
\u25cf Any task assigned by the supervisor<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Desired candidate profile:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Education:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Graduate in Economics, Statistics, or Social Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25cf Minimum 2 Years of work experience in development sectors. Experience can be relaxed for exceptional candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
