Akhter Matin Chaudhury
Board Member

Akhter Matin Chaudhury is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh. He is the Principal Resource at Black Swan, an Enterprise Consultancy.

Farzana Kashfi
Board Member

Farzana Kashfi is a development practitioner and social entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in youth empowerment, skills development and education. She founded WISH – Wellbeing in Schools and Higher Education, supporting schools to build evidence-based, emotionally responsive learning environments.

Homayara Latifa Ahmed
Board Member

Homayara Latifa  Ahmed, associate professor at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, is an expert on human resource management. She is an external consultant of Monower Associates, and a member of University & Industry Alliance, a non-profit management and educational consulting center under University of Dhaka.

Manzoor Hasan OBE
Board Member

Manzoor Hasan OBE, a barrister, is currently the Executive Director of the Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University (Bangladesh). He was previously the Founding Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and the regional director (Asia-Pacific) of Transparency International in Berlin.

Pial Islam
Board Member

Pial Islam is managing partner at pi STRATEGY. Prior to founding pi STRATEGY, he was a Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum. Recently, he led strategic planning for Bangladesh Bank’s Banking Sector Reform Taskforce after the 2024 July Revolution.

Zafar Sobhan, editor of the weekly Counterpoint, was previously the founder editor of Dhaka Tribune. He is a Yale World Fellow and was selected as a member of the inaugural class of Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum.

Tahsinah Ahmed
Executive Director

Tahsinah Ahmed is a senior development practitioner with nearly three decades of work shaping education, training, and skills systems in Bangladesh. Her career spans policy development and reforms, institution building, and large-scale implementation and management, with a sustained focus on inclusion, quality, and pathways from learning to livelihoods. She has an Executive Education from John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and a Master of Social Science in Public Administration, University of Dhaka. She is member of the Board of Directors of the National Human Resource Development Fund, a member of the Advisory Board of Education Watch, an adviser of the National Steering Committee of Generation Unlimited Bangladesh, and a member of the Network for International Policies and Cooperation in Education and Training.

Mohammad Habibullah Tamim is Senior Manager, Skills & Ventures at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), where he leads national skills and entrepreneurship programs; he has over eight years of experience in youth development and enterprise acceleration, previously serving as Regional Manager, BYLC Chattogram, Project Manager for Orange Corners Bangladesh, and Assistant Manager at BYLC Ventures. He holds a BBA in Management and an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Dhaka.

Md. Abul Khayer Shajib

Md. Abul Khayer Shajib, Manager of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), is a development professional with over a decade of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research. He has worked with organizations including BYLC, BRAC, Friendship, and CODEC, and has led nationally significant studies such as the Youth Matters Survey.

Mohammad Numanur Rashid

Mohammad Numanur Rashid brings over 10 years of professional experience across online education, digital marketing, project management, and e-commerce. With expertise in edtech operations, digital growth strategy, performance marketing, online learning design, department management, and revenue-led scaling, he currently serves as Deputy Manager, BYLCx at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), where he leads strategy, operations, and growth initiatives for BYLC’s digital learning platform.

Prior to his current role, he served as Digital Marketing Specialist at BYLCx, leading platform-wide digital acquisition and engagement efforts. His earlier career spans senior roles in Bangladesh’s e-commerce and digital services sector, including Head of Digital Marketing at Oikko Online Shopping, where he led large cross-functional teams and national digital campaigns, and Project Manager at Ecribe, managing international client projects and remote teams.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and a Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering and Tea Technology from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

Deputy Manager, Communication, Marketing, and Branding

Rimjhim Akter, Communications, Marketing, and Branding Lead at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), has over seven years of experience in strategic communications, branding, and development communication, with a focus on youth leadership initiatives across Bangladesh. She has led organizational outreach, media engagement, and major publications, including annual reports, impact reports, and the Youth Matters Survey (YMS). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of South Asia and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Development Studies at BRAC University.
