Almeer Ahsan Asif is the manager of leadership development and teaching team as well as a leadership instructor at BYLC. His core responsibilities include developing and modifying the leadership content of BYLC’s existing and new programs.
A graduate of the first Art and Practice of Leadership workshop of BYLC, Almeer completed an Executive Education on Art and Practice of Leadership Development at Harvard Kennedy School in May 2017.
Prior to joining BYLC, he worked for Teach For Bangladesh, a global movement to end inequity in education. As a Fellow, he taught in a government primary school in Mohakhali for two years. He is the co-founder of a program called Literacy Through Leadership, started in collaboration with IEEE AIUB SB and his wife, Maliha Ahsan. It enables university students to spend time teaching and improving english literacy of school students. He was nominated by the Government of Bangladesh in October 2016, to participate in a study visit in Australia organized by IIEP-UNESCO. Ministry level officials of 7 different countries participated in this visit.
Almeer has completed his master’s of education in educational leadership and school improvement from BRAC Institute of Educational Development with distinction. He completed his bachelor’s in electrical and electronics engineering from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He acted as the chairperson of AIUB’s student branch of IEEE, a global platform for engineering students. He received the Chancellor’s Award for Leadership and was also awarded the Certificate of Excellence for his O- and A Level results.
