Niaz Makhdum is currently working as an executive in the admissions team at BYLC. His core responsibilities include planning; organizing; and maintaining, managing, and executing the processes and operations of admission and registration services for all of BYLC’s leadership programs. 

Before joining BYLC, Niaz worked as a research fellow for WaterAid Bangladesh. In addition to working as a research enumerator at WBB Trust, Niaz Makhdum completed an extensive internship program under UNDP. He is an election observer of Election Working Group, funded by The Asia Foundation and is also an accepted fellow of Teach for Bangladesh.

Niaz has completed his bachelor’s and master’s in public administration from the University of Dhaka. He was appointed as a teacher’s assistant in his department, and was the president of Black Box, a student organization of the Department of Public Administration.

He is an active citizen of British Council and has coordinated a social action project named ‘Anubhutir Chithi’, which focussed on smoothening relations between parents and children. He also was the upazila winner of the Creative Talent Hunt 2013, organized by the Government of Bangladesh. As a nature lover, Niaz enjoys gardening and loves to travel.
