Pial Islam is a managing partner at pi Strategy, a pre-eminent management consulting firm that specializes in helping clients transform ambiguity into opportunity. With pi Strategy, he has led client engagements spanning financial inclusion, digital financial services, education, governance, healthcare, and electricity distribution for clients such as World Bank, United Nations, Asian Development Bank, Grameenphone/Telenor, Robi/Axiata, Dutch-Bangla Bank, BRAC Enterprises, and other international corporations.
Prior to launching pi Strategy, Pial was a Global Leadership Fellow (GLF) with the World Economic Forum (WEF). As a GLF with the WEF, Pial received leadership and management training specially designed and offered by London School of Economics, INSEAD, and Columbia University on topics covering international relations, global finance, power & influence, strategic intuition, and applied innovation.
Pial graduated with an MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he was a Mason Fellow. He has been published in Kennedy School Review at Harvard University, CGAP, and local newspapers, interviewed by magazines, and invited to speak at international conferences.
