Saud Khandaker Hussain is an assistant manager and faculty of the leadership development and teaching team at BYLC. His core responsibilities include conducting leadership sessions using experiential learning strategies; planning and development of action plans for the teaching team; developing assessment tools; strategic planning and recruitment of facilitators; facilitating different leadership development programs; and monitoring and evaluation of data.
Saud previously worked at Teach For Bangladesh as a Fellow for two years. He also collaborated with local organizations such as DHL, Grow your Reader, and 100cameras for the welfare of underprivileged students through their involvement in extracurricular activities. He also worked as field monitor for Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) in rural areas of Sylhet.
Saud is currently pursuing a master’s in education in educational leadership and school improvement from BRAC university, along with a master’s in science in economics from Independent University, Bangladesh. He completed his bachelor of science in economics from Independent University, Bangladesh. He was involved in a global platform through Teach For All and participated in projects that focussed on the importance of incorporating STEM education and girls’ access to education in developing countries. He has also completed a World Bank MOOC in Financing for Development: Billions to Trillions to Action with distinction.
He envisions himself as part of a system which will address issues of inequity in Bangladesh and work towards solving it.
