Upashana’s core responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive marketing, branding, communications, and business development initiatives; supervising the creation of BYLC’s communication materials; public relations management; and facilitating design and effective implementation of communication and marketing strategies.
Prior to joining BYLC, Upashana led the communications team at BRAC Institute of Education Development (BRAC IED). She was a journalist before joining the communications field, with almost six years of experience, working with reputed print media organizations such as The Daily Star and The Independent. She was selected by the Foreign Press Centre of the US State Department to represent Bangladesh in the final reporting tour of the 2012 US elections.
Upashana completed her Bachelor’s in English Literature and Media Studies from BRAC University. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her child and fur babies on her days off.
