Deputy Manager, Operations

Purpose

The Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining and managing the day-to-day operations. He/she will oversee the marketing, admissions and curriculum development activities.

Core responsibilities

Amongst many exciting challenges, the Deputy Manager will;

  • Day-to-day management of BYLC’s leadership programs, measure progress and ensure alignment with the annual budget
  • Supervise the programs and Human Resource and Administration department.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise the program team and human resource staff
  • Create strategies and action plans for successful marketing, recruitment, and execution of BYLC’s leadership programs
  • Prepare and manage program budgets
  • Ensure proper knowledge management and documentation of all programs.
  • Conduct internal monitoring and evaluation for all programs.
  • Lead the effort for alumni engagement and continuous leadership learning for BYLC graduates
  • Maintain relationships with educators, administrators, program staff, vendors, and partners to attain operational efficiency and excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior management to create a performance measurement and review framework
  • Manage team by utilizing team members effectively for the success of the programs/events
  • Prepare summary reports on the progress of all activities
  • Supervise the Marketing Executive in the execution of promotional activities
  • Engage the BYLC Graduate Network (BGN) for the mobilization of local youth
  • Coordinate the activities and logistics required during the admissions process and other events
  • Ensure that the Curriculum Executive has the resources to meet project milestones
  • Track and record all expenses

Assistant Manager, Admissions

Purpose

The Assistant Manager, Admissions will be responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining and managing the processes and operations of admission and registration services.

Assistant Manager, Research Monitoring and Evaluation

Purpose

The prime responsibility of the Assistant Manager, Research Monitoring and Evaluation, is to contribute in developing the monitoring and evaluation system and to provide support in improving the impact of BYLC programs.

Core responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen BYLC’s program planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures. Conduct pre-post evaluations on all programs on an ongoing basis
  • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to senior management and assist President in BYLC’s internal audits
  • Assist the various departments in gathering information and statistics for program documentation and reports; proposals and grants; annual reports and other communication materials
  • Suggest and implement strategies in various departments for improving the reporting systems, develop monitoring and impact indicators for project success; bring efficiency and effectiveness in the programs by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities; and develop plans to minimize internal and external risks
  • Conduct training and information workshops for capacity building of staff on various monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Generate new ideas for future program development and provide analytical insight

Requirements

Education

Graduate in economics, statistics or any research related field

Experience

  • 3-4 years' experience in research related work

Skills

  • Qualitative and quantitative research knowledge
  • Proven experience in writing research proposals and reports
  • Commendable data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel
  • Outstanding report writing and presentation skills

Executive, Finance and Accounts

Core responsibilities:

  • Issue payments against invoices on time by either cheque or cash. Must ensure all expenses are approved and justified with necessary supporting documents according to IFRC/BYLC’s policies and procedures;
  • Post and allocate expenses and receipts to Tally (accounting software)
  • Manage petty cash as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Support monthly and year-end closing procedure;
  • Assist in preparing and processing cash forecast for the delegation in a timely manner;
  • Maintain all financial documents
  • Assist in identifying variances in actual expenditure and the budget;
  • Assist with auditing expenses, checking financial documents, invoices, etc. to ensure adequate documentation, coding, and reporting of financial transactions;
  • Prepare monthly financial reports;
  • Ensure VAT and tax deductions are compliant with Government rules and regulations;
  • Monitor compliance with BYLC’s and Donor requirements, rules and regulations;
  • Provide support to complete internal & external audit;

Purpose

  3. Making company branding plan during the events including any kind of logistics and volunteers management

Intern, IT

Purpose

The Intern will be responsible for maintaining and managing the day-to-day IT operations

Core responsibilities

  • Provide IT system support & solution
  • Provide IT support to the end users and solving technical problems in both a stand-alone and a network environment.
  • Diagnosing office Desktop/Laptop and solving hardware/software faults and replacing the parts as and when required.
  • Monitoring and providing necessary support of Scanner, Printer, portable HDD, UPS, Headphone, Printer Ink and Cartridge.
  • Maintaining IT equipment fixed asset register and Marking/Tagging the product.
  • Ensuring the data security, backup, and document of all IT users.
  • Assist in providing new PC/Laptop Configuration (Antivirus and necessary software driver setups).
  • Monitoring network feasibility, such as, AP, Switch, Server, Printer, Scanner, etc.

Intern, Knowledge Team, Youth Leadership Summit 2018, Dhaka

Purpose

The role of Intern, Knowledge Team, Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) 2018, is to assist the team with the development of curriculum on the contents of the YLS. He/she will also be responsible for research in the preparation of the summit and provide post-summit documentation and report-writing.  

Core responsibilities

  • Creating strategy and action plan for the curriculum development of YLS 2018
  • Assist in planning and designing curriculum for the leadership and professional development programs
  • Developing and updating workbook, booklets, and facilitators manuals for the training programs
  • Facilitating in different leadership and professional development programs
  • Conduct research to make evidence-based improvements to curriculum of YLS
  • Documenting the meeting minutes of Summit Knowledge team and creating learning documents at the end of each training programs
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on leadership in different schools, colleges and universities across the country
  • Any other work relating to curriculum development and teaching assigned by the management

Desired Candidate profile

Education

Any education background from any discipline (Law, IR and Education disciplines will be preferred)

Experience

  • Specific work experience is not required (Research experience is an asset)
  • Rich experience on Model United Nations (MUNs) will be taken into consideration

Skills

  • Good basic knowledge on the concept of Youth Manifesto and policy making
