Executive, Communications

Project overview

Change Agents Network is an inclusive youth platform to develop active, enlightened, skillful, and empathetic citizens for tomorrow through a comprehensive package of 21st century skills training and community service projects.

The primary target group for this pilot project is youth within the age range of 15 to 23 focusing on students from class eight to university graduates. It will create a community-based and youth-led model to capitalize on the existing resources and effectively connect the community to those resources. Through this platform young people will have access to a larger network and like-minded youth groups for future opportunities.

Purpose

The Communication Executive will be responsible for the overall online and offline brand presence of the Change Agents Network. He or she will be involved in the creative design of branding content, maintain the program’s online presence, liaise with photographers and videographers, and work closely with the Project team and Communication team. He or she will undergo rigorous onboarding with the BYLC staff.

 Core Responsibilities

  1. Support Project Coordinator with internal and external communications
  2. Work with external agencies and Communications team to create brand guidelines
  3. Undertake copywriting for communications materials (pamphlets and posters), online content (website), and social media (Facebook posts and event updates)
  4. Provide input in the design of the project website, create content for the website, manage and update the website (related blog content)
  5. Draft press releases, coordinate with media, design regular social media posts, and create presentations
  6. Design merchandise and marketing collateral for mentors
  7. Liaise with Communications team
  8. Coordinate with vendors and oversee procurement process
  9. Support project teams in the planning and execution of roadshow events, launch ceremony and closing ceremony
  10. Document the project through photos and testimonials for social media updates and future promotions.

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Proficient in both English and Bangla
  • Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills
  • Willingness to make extensive field visit 

Reporting

The Executive, Communications will report to the Project Coordinator, and will collaborate with the BYLC communication team.

Executive, Marketing and Admissions

Project overview

Purpose

The Executive will work with the BYLC Marketing and Communication teams as well as the Project team to develop and execute strategies on how to recruit and engage youth for the Change Agents Network project. The Executive will go through a rigorous onboarding with BYLC, he or she will work mostly in the target areas, liaise with education institutions and organizations, and work closely with the Project Coordinator to execute project activities.

Core responsibilities

  1. Develop and conduct market research institutions for each target area for their engagement in supporting project activities
  2. Develop and conduct market research on the needs and demands of young people based in the target areas
  3. Plan and execute marketing campaigns in different colleges and universities in the target areas
  4. Visit/attend meetings with college and university authorities to represent and increase awareness of the project
  5. Build and maintain relationships with education institutions, student bodies, and clubs
  6. Administer the admissions process for mentors
  7. Take part in idea generation and design of promotional materials for the online and offline promotion of the project
  8. Support the Communications, Executive in the documentation and promotion of the project
  9. Facilitate in the leadership training programs for mentors
  10. Develop and implement long-term marketing plan and media engagement for post-project branding to generate greater demand for the Change Agents Network.

Executive, Program Execution

Purpose

The Executive, Program Execution is responsible for executing BYLC programs and events according to the annual program calendar.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Planning for all programs and events including budget, venue and logistics
  2. Manage vendors and maintain relationship with different partners like venues, catering, event management company, transport, hotel etc.
  3. Making company branding plan during the events including any kind of logistics and volunteers management
  4. Maintain quality and improving customer service during programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Proficient in both English and Bangla
  • Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Reporting

The Executive, Program Execution will report to the Manager, Operations and will have opportunity to work with the wider BYLC team.

Intern, Marketing & Outreach

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute the marketing plan and coordinate with the marketing team
  • Visit different institutions for promotions of different BYLC’s programs
  • Maintain liaison with a wide network of university clubs and career services centers
  • Ensure proper documentations
  • Provide necessary logistic support to marketing team

Requirements

  • Student from any public or private college/university/madrasah
  • Proven track records of leadership role at different organizations
  • Individuals with connections to a wide network of university clubs
  • Interested in marketing, branding and communication
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel applications
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla

Duration

  • 3 months (with possibility of extension on the basis of performances)
