Assistant Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation

Purpose

The prime responsibility of the Assistant Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, is to contribute in developing the monitoring and evaluation system and to provide support in improving the impact of BYLC programs.

Core responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen BYLC’s program planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures. Conduct pre-post evaluations on all programs on an ongoing basis
  • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to senior management and assist President in BYLC’s internal audits
  • Assist the various departments in gathering information and statistics for program documentation and reports; proposals and grants; annual reports and other communication materials
  • Suggest and implement strategies in various departments for improving the reporting systems, develop monitoring and impact indicators for project success; bring efficiency and effectiveness in the programs by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities; and develop plans to minimize internal and external risks
  • Conduct training and information workshops for capacity building of staff on various monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Generate new ideas for future program development and provide analytical insight

Requirements

Education

Graduate in economics, statistics or any research related field

Experience

  • 3-4 years' experience in research related work

Skills

  • Qualitative and quantitative research knowledge
  • Proven experience in writing research proposals and reports
  • Commendable data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel
  • Outstanding report writing and presentation skills

Executive, Relationship Management (RM), Office of Professional Development

The Office of Professional Development (OPD), a key unit of Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), provides world class professional development training exclusively for BYLC graduates with an aim to prepare them for successful careers for public, private, and civil sector. OPD provides holistic, intensive, and interactive training that focuses on all aspects of career development and also provides job and internship placement services exclusively for BYLC graduates. 

Vacancy: Executive, Relationship Management (RM), Office of Professional Development

The Executive, RM, will develop and maintain a strong relationship with BYLC graduate pool and will act as a go-to-point between OPD and the graduate pool.

Additionally, the RM will also build and maintain relationship with prospective employers (primarily the HR division) in the country to place BYLC graduates. This will include visiting different employers’ offices on a regular basis, going for marketing/sales calls, preparing presentations and signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the employers and BYLC.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain close bond with the BYLC Graduate Network (BGN) and work in collaboration to reach out to maximum number of BYLC graduates on behalf of OPD.
  • Act as the point of contact between BYLC and BGN and the greater BYLC graduate pool
  • Build sustainable relationships with potential recruiters/employers and create presentations/pitch-books to market BYLC and OPD to them
  • Communicate with public and private organizations on prospects to place BYLC graduates, and serve as a liaison to HR division of different organizations
  • Maintain regular communication with BYLC graduates to showcase them to potential recruiters
  • Conduct graduate outreach and maintain data for graduate database
  • Analyze data to derive insights that will help with targeted marketing and liaise with different teams  to make successful marketing of events
  • Manage the pre-planning and execution of training for BYLC graduates on professional development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from any discipline with minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0  from a top tier university in Bangladesh or abroad
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales/marketing or business development is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Travel extensively in Dhaka (and sometimes outside of Dhaka as per need)

The communication intern will play a major role in managing BYLC’s brand through different online and offline channels.

  • Develop online publications highlighting BYLC activities

The Intern, Program Execution will play a major role in arranging logistic support for all BYLC programs

  • Helping in pre-program works like planning, venue deciding, preparing budget etc.
  • Keep good communication with vendors and other logistic partners.
  • Preparing the checklist, maintain and update the checklist in program duration.
  • Preparing the program venues and make sure necessary logistics and teaching materials are there in time.
  • Helping the team regarding transportation and logistics support.

  • Conduct outreach to BYLC graduates by phone and email to raise their awareness on capacity development workshops
  • Help with all the logistical requirements of hosting the capacity development workshops at BYLC and in other venues in Dhaka and Chittagong
  • Participate in Training of Trainers (ToT) and also facilitate in workshops when required
  • Work closely with the program team to aid in the creation of digital learning content to be used in the classroom
  • Manage the dissemination of pre and post workshop surveys, conduct data analysis, and provide insights to the program team for future improvement

Fellow

Purpose

The fellow will be a core part of the BYLC Curriculum Development team. His or her job would be to conduct research and create content for leadership development programs. She or he would also manage and facilitate different online and on-campus leadership programs run by BYLC. The fellows will go through a rigorous training which will prepare them to facilitate the programs efficiently and to manage complex classroom environments that they will encounter. Each fellow will have an opportunity to shape the lives of future leaders of Bangladesh and beyond.

Core responsibilities

  • Conduct research to make evidence-based improvements to current methods of on-campus and online leadership courses
  • Teach and facilitate in the leadership development programs
  • Assist in planning and designing curriculum for the leadership programs
  • Prepare guidelines and schedule for leadership sessions, activities, and small group discussions 
  • Supervise and monitor the work and performance of participants during the training programs
  • Facilitate community service projects
  • Ensure documentation of all training related activities
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on leadership in different schools, colleges and universities across the country
  • Serve in the Admissions of committee of different BYLC programs.

Essential criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
