Executive, Admissions

Purpose

The admissions team make sure that BYLC gets the right candidates who doesn’t only have the potential and diversity but also the zeal to make their life worth something for the nation. This job combines the roles of Operation, HR, and Marketing, and Administration. The Executive, Admissions is responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining, and managing the processes and operations of admission and registration services for all of BYLC’s leadership programs.

Core responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, maintain, and manage the processes and operations of admission and registration services
  • Develop, recommend, organize, and administer BYLC’s policies and procedures pertaining to the admissions and registration of all students
  • Develop communication plan for admissions and registration of students
  • Maintain regular communications and provide necessary information to BYLC alumni, present students, potential candidates, guardians, educational institutions, and other relevant stakeholders through email, phone, and physical interaction
  • Collect and analyze a variety of complex data and information regarding admissions, registration, online processes, telephone helpline, and direct services
  • Oversee the documentation, security, and confidentiality of student records
  • Present admissions and registration information to a variety of audiences
  • Collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators, and internal departments to research and resolve complex student issues relating to admission, dual enrollment, registration, cancellations, and refunds
  • Research and diagnose issues from a “systems” perspective and design strategies to resolve admissions and registration system
  • Publish the schedule of admissions and registration dates and times
  • Establish and maintain an annual calendar of admissions and registration events and track progress
  • Conduct research to make evidence-based improvements to current methods of on-campus and online leadership courses
  • Teach and facilitate in the leadership development programs
  • Assist in planning and designing curriculum for the leadership programs
  • Prepare guidelines and schedule for leadership sessions, activities, and small group discussions 
  • Supervise and monitor the work and performance of participants during the training programs
  • Facilitate community service projects
  • Ensure documentation of all training related activities
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on leadership in different schools, colleges and universities across the country

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

Graduate in Human Resource Management or any relevant field

Experience

  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in any educational institute’s admissions process would be an added advantage

Skills

  • Coordinate with school, college, and university administrators to conduct campaigns
  • Organize activities within campus premises
  • Recruit, train, and mentor campus ambassadors across Chittagong division who will be the informal spokespersons and promoters of BYLC programs

  • Visit/attend meetings with college and university authorities to represent and increase awareness of the project

Manager/Deputy Manager – People Development

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to ensure that BYLC is operationally efficient and effective. S/he is responsible for setting strategic human resource and administrative direction; providing a perspective on growth and expansion; and supporting and sustaining a culture of leadership across all units.

The Manager, People Development, will have a thorough understanding of the organization’s requirements regarding human resources and administrative functions. S/he will partner with BYLC President and Manager, Operations, to identify talent gaps and address the needs of management. S/he will be responsible for full, accurate, and equitable administration of all compensation and benefits, and will be directly responsible for monitoring the day-to-day people development tasks.

Core Responsibilities

Amongst many exciting challenges, the Manager/Deputy Manager will;

  • Effectively interface with all levels of the organization to coordinate and oversee all of the people-related and office management activities
  • Make certain that all administrative systems and processes are highly reliable, finely tuned, and well delivered
  • Ensure all job descriptions are kept up to date and deal with any performance or grievance issues in a legally compliant and professional way
  • Implement organization’s HR policy in line with overall BYLC strategic plans with flexibility to cope with changes in the organization, as and when they occur
  • Provide day to day support to line managers on all human resource issues: recruitment, management of staff, staff training, remuneration, promotion, and succession planning

Executive, Partners Management/ Relationship Management

Reporting to: Assistant Manager, Marketing, and Outreach

Position Summary: Executive on this role will be responsible for planning and executing recruitment activities at target institutions and organizations, identifying and cultivating top prospects for the partnership, and managing a team of Campus Ambassadors to meet goals. They will assist in the planning and execution of the multi-step relationship management process as well the promotional campaign. This position is an excellent way to get exposure to brand-building, relationship management, campus activation, marketing, and communication.

Major Responsibilities

  • Research information on assigned institutions and other pools of potential and support in the design/evolution of overall partnership process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with student leaders, administrators, faculty members, career service representatives, advisors, and other key gatekeepers to help execute an effective promotional campaign.
  • Manage a team of volunteer Campus Ambassadors in order to organize events and activities and achieve promotional goals.
  • Identify, cultivate and influence top students to apply to BYLC program.
  • Gather market intelligence and maintain detailed records of interactions with partners.
  • Support in the design and development of promotional materials.
  • Write high-impact external communications (letter, application, email etc.).

Executive, Relationship Management (RM), Office of Professional Development

The Office of Professional Development (OPD), a key unit of Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), provides world class professional development training exclusively to BYLC graduates with an aim to prepare them for successful careers for public, private, and civil sectors. OPD provides holistic, intensive, and interactive training that focuses on all aspects of career development and also provides job and internship placement services exclusively to BYLC graduates. 

Vacancy: Executive, Relationship Management (RM), Office of Professional Development

The Executive, RM, will plan and organize event to connect BYLC graduates with recruiters. This position also requires to communicate with public and private organizations on prospects to place BYLC graduates, and serve as a liaison to HR division of different organizations.

  • Build sustainable relationships with potential recruiters and create presentations to inform them about BYLC and its graduates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from any discipline with minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0  from a top tier university in Bangladesh or abroad
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales/marketing or business development is preferable
