Deputy Manager, Operations

Purpose

The Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining and managing the day-to-day operations. He/she will oversee the marketing, admissions and curriculum development activities.

Core responsibilities

Amongst many exciting challenges, the Deputy Manager will;

  • Day-to-day management of BYLC’s leadership programs, measure progress and ensure alignment with the annual budget
  • Supervise the programs and Human Resource and Administration department.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise the program team and human resource staff
  • Create strategies and action plans for successful marketing, recruitment, and execution of BYLC’s leadership programs
  • Prepare and manage program budgets
  • Ensure proper knowledge management and documentation of all programs.
  • Conduct internal monitoring and evaluation for all programs.
  • Lead the effort for alumni engagement and continuous leadership learning for BYLC graduates
  • Maintain relationships with educators, administrators, program staff, vendors, and partners to attain operational efficiency and excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior management to create a performance measurement and review framework
  • Manage team by utilizing team members effectively for the success of the programs/events
  • Prepare summary reports on the progress of all activities
  • Supervise the Marketing Executive in the execution of promotional activities
  • Engage the BYLC Graduate Network (BGN) for the mobilization of local youth
  • Coordinate the activities and logistics required during the admissions process and other events
  • Ensure that the Curriculum Executive has the resources to meet project milestones
  • Track and record all expenses
  • Ensure compliance with BYLC policies and procedures
  • Attendance and Leave management

Desired candidate profile

Education

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Experience

  • 3-4 years’ of relevant work experience

Assistant Manager, Admissions

Purpose

We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated young professional to work with us as Assistant Manager, Admissions who will support BYLC in managing the admissions and registration process of BYLC programs, which are integral to BYLC’s commitment to maintaining high quality of leadership education. The Assistant Manager, Admissions will be reporting to the Manager, Operations.

Job Location- Dhaka

The Challenge

  • Coordinating and managing the Admissions team
  • Working with the Operations team for guidance
  • Overseeing admission and registration related queries
  • Overseeing registration payment and financial aid process
  • Overseeing the application assessments for the programs
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required by the Manager, Operations
  • Managing local volunteers and Youth Consultants during the admissions process
  • Assisting the Faculty in teaching as co-faculty
  • Acting as leadership facilitator during programs when required

Assistant Manager, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

The Purpose

We are looking for a research fanatic who loves to play with data to work with us as Assistant Manager of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, who will help us develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation system which will measure and improve the impact of BYLC leadership programs. The Assistant Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation, will report to the Manager, Operations, and will have opportunity to work with the wider BYLC team.

Job Location- Dhaka

The Challenge

  • Conduct evaluations at different program stages to assess impact of leadership training on youth
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual progress reports for internal and external audits
  • Assist other departments in gathering data for program documentation and reports; proposals and grants; annual reports and other communication materials
  • Suggest and implement strategies in various departments for improving the reporting systems, develop monitoring and impact indicators for project success; bring efficiency and effectiveness in the programs by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities; and develop plans to minimize internal and external risks
  • Conduct training and information workshops for capacity building of staff on various monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Generate new ideas for future program development and provide data driven insight

The Demand

Education- Bachelor in Economics, Social science or any research related field

Experience- 2-4 years' experience in research related work

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research knowledge
  • Proven experience in writing research proposals and reports
  • Superior skills in data analysis and interpretation
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Outstanding skills in report writing and presentation
  • Knowledge on statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS/STATA) would be an advantage
