Intern, Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation (RME)

Purpose

The prime responsibility of the Intern, Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation is to contribute to develop the research, monitoring, and evaluation system and to provide support in improving the impact of BYLC programs.

Core responsibilities

∙ Assist in developing and implementing RME system to assess the progress and the impact of different programs

∙ Assist to design and create RME database

∙ Assist to collect, clean, sort, categorize and organize data

∙ Assist to compile data from different programs and input them to the database

∙ Assist to analyze and present quantitative and qualitative data for programmatic improvements

∙ Assist with knowledge documentation of RME activities

∙ Assist to conduct pre- and post-evaluations of all programs on an ongoing basis

∙ Assist to develop monthly, quarterly or annual reports depending on project requirements

∙ Suggest and implement strategies in various departments to improve the reporting systems, develop the monitoring and impact indicators for project success; bring efficiency and effectiveness in the programs by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities; and develop plans to minimize internal and external risks

∙ Generate new ideas for future program development and provide analytical insight

Education

Undergraduate student in economics, environmental science, statistics or any research related field

Skills

∙ Qualitative and quantitative research knowledge

∙ Must be proficient in MS Excel

∙ Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS/STATA) would be an advantage

Intern, Marketing & Communication, Office of Professional Development

Core responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to BYLC graduates to raise awareness on capacity development workshops via online and offline media (for example through email and phone calls)
  • Create and assist with marketing plans for events, workshops, and regular social media and other means of online marketing
  • Engage and communicate with the BYLC Graduates/Alumni for the purpose of OPD trainings and support
  • Assist in content writing, proofreading documents, and articles. Also be proficient in professional email writing
  • Assist with some of the logistical requirements of hosting the capacity development workshops of OPD
  • Participate in facilitators training and also facilitate in OPD workshops
  • Assist in documenting workshops and events of OPD
  • Work closely with the team to aid in the creation of digital learning content to be used in online platform
  • Manage the dissemination of pre and post workshop surveys, conduct data analysis, and provide insights to the team for future improvement

Requirements:

    • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline in a top tier university

 

  • Ability to commit a significant amount of time to the internship besides maintaining course load and other academic expectations

 

  • Some prior experience in social media marketing or project communication is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla; Good writing skill in English is a must
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications, specially MS Excel

Core responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and develop official publications including annual report, quarterly e-newsletters, program brochures, and other marketing collaterals
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain website content and social media communication
  • Prepare program related communication materials in print, electronic, and social media
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders including media, vendors, and administrators
  • Manage media relations, act proactively and reactively to keep the organization in the public eye, handle media enquiries, prepare media releases, and maintain a media contact database

Executive, Marketing and Outreach

Purpose

The main role of executive, Marketing and Outreach would be building relationships with different types of clients. He/she will be mainly be responsible working with the Marketing and outreach team developing relationships with universities and schools.

  • Coordinate with schools, college, and university administrators to conduct campaigns

  • Host career development and learning sessions for campus ambassadors to foster their growth and commitment to BYLC

Deputy Manager- Communication

Purpose

The main responsibility of this position is developing BYLC’s communication strategies and managing the organization’s presence through different mediums. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing the projects progress and assist the communication team by mentoring and managing the team of BYLC at a wider management level.

Core responsibilities

  • Manage day to day communication of BYLC
  • Setting weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly targets for the communication team and ensuring that the teams meet/complete objectives
  • Develop policies and procedures for achieving the communication targets of BYLC
  • Oversees, guide and coordinate between and among different departments, divisions and employees of BYLC and ensure relevant updates and news are communicated efficiently to external stakeholders
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with print, online and electronic media organizations
  • Maintain BYLC website and ensure that BYLC maintains a high visibility through website, social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and print, online and electronic media
