Purpose:

The purpose of the position is to play a crucial role in ensuring internal and external compliance in all material aspects of the organization. Involving the financial management, processing all the payments for the implementation of the program activities in compliance with the BYLC policies and other regulatory requirements, and recording them in the books of accounts properly to ensure adequate financial reporting. He/she will be responsible for VAT and tax related issues as well as other legal aspects (such as: reviewing MOU/contracts/agreements etc.), focusing on the interests of BYLC. He/she will enable and adhere to the adequacy of the internal control system to ensure the SOP and value for money at every stage of the procurement process.

Major responsibilities (detailed job description will be available for short-listed candidates)

● Oversee daily accounting operations, including payments via web banking (CorpNet), accurate posting in Tally, and maintenance of financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and financial legislation
● Prepare and review monthly financial statements, payroll, fixed asset registers, and reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
● Manage audits by assisting both internal and external auditors and ensuring proper documentation and preservation of vouchers and bills
● Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, AIT, TDS, VDS, and timely filing with government authorities (NBR, RJSC, NGOAB, DC Office, etc.)
● Maintain project-wise financial records, prepare budgets, monitor expenses against project allocations, and verify supporting documentation for all payments
● Assist in donor reporting, fund requests, and preparation of financial statements for projects, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
● Manage petty cash, books of accounts, and all regulatory filings, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timely updates.
● Any Other task assigned by the supervisor

Desired candidate profile:

Education:

● Post-graduation in Accounting & Information Systems or Finance from any reputed university with a good academic record. No 3rd division/class will be allowed

Experience:

● Experience in Finance, Accounts, Procurement, Admin, VAT, TAX, Legal Affairs, Budgeting, Donor Reporting etc.
● Experience in working in international/local NGO or donor agencies
● A minimum of 3 years of working experience at Accounting/Finance field in NGO Sector

Professional qualification:

● Partly qualified in chartered accountancy will get added advantages

Purpose:

The prime responsibility of the Executive is to manage different marketing and communication-related assignments and assist the Deputy Manager of the team to track and maintain the day-to-day activities of the department.

● Undertake copywriting for communications materials, online content (website), and social media
● Coordinate marketing and communications between different departments and ensure relevant updates and news are communicated efficiently to external stakeholders
● Manage BYLC’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.
● Author, supervise, and produce external communications, including newsletters, emails, press releases, blog posts, annual reports, program brochures, and other publications
● Support project teams in the planning and execution of BYLC programs and events
● Design and implement a social media strategy to align with organizational goals
● Create, curate, and manage any and all published content
● Develop community outreach and engagement strategies for programs and events
● Keep up to date with any social media trends and assist with social media performance reports
● Engage with social media users and respond to any mentions/tags over social media
● Create strategies for graduate impact documentation and dissemination on social media, newsletters, and other communication channels
● Plan and organize promotional events such as press conferences, open days, etc.
● Collaborate with external stakeholders for promotional purposes
● Any task assigned by the supervisor

Desired candidate profile:

Familiar with social media management and analytics, along with development communication writing — including reports, blogs, and success stories to showcase program impact. They should be a collaborative team player, yet also capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Education:

● Bachelor’s in English/Journalism/Media and Communication or any related field.

Experience:

● At least 1 year of proven experience in relevant field, preferably in the development or social business sector

What You Bring

Education: Master’s in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field

● Support of implementation the RM&E systems for BYLC
● Support line manager by designing and developing RM&E systems, frameworks, and tools to monitor project activities and outcomes
● Ensure data management, data entry, and record-keeping systems to ensure accurate and organized documentation.
● Capacity to conduct Data Quality Assessment, Data Validation and Data Quality Control.
● Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure timely completion of RM&E activities.
● Capacity to use monitoring data for organizational learning and program improvement.
● Understanding of RM&E best practices, methodologies, and ethical considerations.
● Ensuring a healthy working environment for his/her team members.

Purpose:

The Senior Executive, BYLCx, will ensure quality production and post-production through all stages of content development for the BYLC’s online education platform, BYLCx. This role will also be responsible for creating and maintaining impactful partnerships with different stakeholders for the proper implementation of BYLCx’s interventions, programs, and services, as well as its growth and sustainability.

● Identify Bangladeshi youth’s learning and development needs in line with employer demands
● Design curriculum, course lists, and learning paths to address skill and competency gaps
● Develop and produce course content, including course video scripts, storyboarding materials, reading materials, quizzes, etc
● Introduce innovative online and blended learning methods for better outcomes and impact
● Engage, negotiate, and manage external instructors, partners, and institutions to ensure timely and quality content delivery
● Design and improve engagement and activation programs, while enhancing product quality on the BYLCx platform
● Build and maintain partnerships with subject experts, consultants, educational institutes, and student networks
● Handle documentation, procurement, finance, and administrative tasks in line with organizational guidelines
● Track and analyze user engagement data, and support marketing, UX feedback, workshops, and other BYLCx activities

Desired candidate profile:

Education:

● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Development Studies, Communications, or a related field (Preferably in Education)

Experience:

● At least 3 years of experience in relevant areas
