Purpose:

The key purpose of this role is to directly supervise executives and other part-time employees of the OPD team to execute the tasks driven by annual and long-term strategy plans. Training design, training development, and training program management are key elements of this role. Also, this role will support higher management and team lead in terms of developing ideas, and business models, and implementing strategies, and goals for the Office of Professional Development.

● Create project development plans, especially during the initiation and ideation phases of new projects
● Co-create OPD’s business development plan by critically analyzing its programs, products, and training
● Co-create OPD’s partnership development strategy with diverse stakeholders such as private sector partners, donor and development partners, and educational institutions
● Plan and host partnership events and external meetings with partners, stakeholders, private sector employers, etc.
● Successful completion of OPD’s core training programs, such as CareerX, Career Bootcamp, and other professional development training and employability services and events
● Lead in organizing hybrid training programs and events at the office and external venues
● Prepare budgets for institutional and national programs, and maintain all the financial documentation
● Prepare periodic reports and budget forecasting according to the project/ department’s plan
● Ensure proper evaluation and training reports of the training programs for continuous improvement
● Manage a core team of 4-6 members with a solid strategic plan to ensure organizational and departmental goals

Desired candidate profile

Education
:

Minimum graduation from Business Administration, Education, Public Administration, Economics, or other relevant subjects. Having a postgraduate degree will add value to the selection criteria

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of experience with at least 1.5-2 years in a managerial role

Purpose:

The Youth Skills Specialist is responsible to ensure that all project targets are met in relation to youth skills development for wage and self employment, considering the project focus, timeline and maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

● Implement effectively the vision, mission and goals of the project
● Contribute to develop necessary policies and guidelines for the project and ensure implementation

● Ensure transparency, integrity and other governance and compliance principles within the Bijoyee project and the goodwill, credibility and reputation of BYLC and the project at all times

● Conduct training needs assessment and gap analysis to identify the learning objectives and outcomes for the target youth groups

● Review and update curriculum and training materials regularly to ensure their relevance and quality

Purpose:

The Trainer will work under the USAID Bijoyee Activity project of BYLC, which is the strategic partner of CARE Bangladesh, including some other partner organizations. The project focused on a comprehensive Initiative focused on empowering and engaging young people in Bangladesh. It aims to address various aspects of youth development, including education, skill building soft skills, creating the environment for employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and social inclusion as stated in project documents.

The Trainer will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of the capacity building, learning, facilitating, and training activity with the collaboration of all engaged stakeholders. S/He will ensure its successful execution and timely completion of work under the guidance of the Master Trainer, Skills and Employment Manager Dhaka North team of BYLC. This position will be based in Dhaka North, Gazipur and Manikgonj district under Dhaka North Hub of USAID Bijoyee Activity Project, BYLC.

Core responsibilities:

Strategic: (10%)


● Closely work with the Master Trainer, Skills and Employment Manager of BYLC for developing and designing the training curriculum including suggestions for updates and improvements in align with project goal
● Responsible for implementing and monitoring the training activities in the Hub
● Responsible for conducting cultural orientation classes in accordance with USAID Bijoyee Activity and BYLC guidelines and the curriculum developed by BYLC and provide training for a variety of wide range of participant groups of beneficiaries
● Must understand the NEET and EET youth-related issues in respective project areas

Operational: (75%)

● Responsible for classroom sessions and learning of beneficiaries of the spoke office and Hub
● Conduct training sessions in other working locations of USAID Bijoyee Activity Project, including remote sessions
● Conduct sessions in the spoke office and Hub and collect data for continuous development in curriculum
● Ensure that all attendance records are maintained in the classroom
● Development and implementation of the training schedule and call list when needed
● Ensure a planned logistical arrangement and the upkeep of project facilities when necessary
● Reporting, documentation and communication with BYLC Skills Development and Training Team

People Management and Relationship Building: (15%)

Essential Requirements:


The Trainer will lead the Training under Dhaka North Hub of USAID Bijoyee Activity team for achieving having:

1) Understanding of design curriculum and facilitation for soft skills training
2) Strengthen youth leadership through targeted support of local youth-led and youth-serving organizations to promote youth participation as decision-makers and key contributors to individual, household, community, and national well-being.
3) Strengthen youth systems, in partnership with youth, to provide more coordinated and effective services, practices, and policies that embody the principles of BYLC.

Education:

● Master's degree in Social Science/MED background with good academic result.

Experience:

● At least 01 year(s) similar level of experiences
● Experience in training and project field management in NGO/ development organization
● Experience in training, learning, and development management for USAID Funded project is mandatory
● Experiences of youth development sector including liaison with GOB and NGOs

Required technical skills:

● Any certification experience skills development trainer (ToT training experience)

Oversee finance, accounts, and supply chain management of the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), its programs and projects, and ensure efficient and effective management and health in this regard.

Manage the day-to-day functioning of the finance section, including cash disbursements, cash receipts, etc and are involved, either directly or indirectly in disbursing/monitoring/reporting expenditures made by subgrantees of BYLC
● Play a leading strategic service-focused role in the construction of the council’s revenue budget and capital programme, including providing advice to officers and members on the choices that need to be made. Contribute to the closure of accounts process and to ensure that the annual accounts are accurate and produced within statutory timescales
● Devise and ensure delivery of a comprehensive programme of financial monitoring reports to allow effective monitoring and planning by managers at both a strategic and operational level on all aspects of the use of financial resources (revenue and capital)
● Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Manage, coach and develop high performing purchasing and cost estimating teams that meet agreed objectives and which deliver best practice results, added value and continuous improvements

The Manager of the Skills Development Program (SDP) team will be responsible for the overall management of BYLC's leadership and skills enhancement programs and relevant initiatives. This individual will work closely with the BYLC leadership team to formulate and implement strategic plans, oversee project execution, and seek opportunities for new training initiatives.

In addition, the Manager will also be involved in business development, representing BYLC in the public and private sectors. Major Responsibilities

Administrative Functions:

● Overall office maintenance, ensuring the office space is cleaned and the seating arrangement are properly in place
● Ensure a professional, staff-friendly, healthy, and hygienic environment is in place
● Ensure that all inventory items are recorded and accounted for in the register book/ inventory software
● Ensure that supporting documentation is available for all entries in the inventory register book/ software
● Maintain a system to track inventory movement between agreed locations and/or use by current staff or visiting delegates from other offices
● Ensure that the office has adequate insurance cover for its inventory items as required
● Oversee and coordinate travel authorization submissions and travel bookings for the staffs
● Facilitate efficient coordination of conferences, workshops, meetings, and travel in accordance with organization’s policy
● Supervise the activities of the floor-supervisors, support staffs, and drivers
● Ensure that the office complies with regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OHS) and form necessary teams responsible for office security and First Aid
● Ensure Safety and Security Policy/ Emergency Contingency policy are in place in the organization
● Review the Admin Policy regularly and suggest amendments to the supervisor to ensure compliance with organizational values and country laws
● Ensure staff’s office placement and seating arrangements
● Handle onboarding tasks, i.e. issuing employee ID cards, providing IT access, giving a welcome goodie bag, introducing new hires to the team with an office tour
● Coordinate different events by collaborating with different departments when required

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Management/ Public Administration or any other relevant field. Master’s degree and a good academic result would be an advantage.

Experience:

2-3 years of experience in relevant areas with HRM, administration and logistics. Work experience in any NGOs/ INGOs would be an advantage.

Purpose:

The key purpose of this role is to directly supervise executives and other part-time employees of the OPD team to execute the tasks driven by annual and long-term strategy plans. Training design, training development, and training program management are key elements of this role. Also, this role will support higher management and team lead in terms of developing ideas, and business models, and implementing strategies, and goals for the Office of Professional Development.

● Create project development plans, especially during the initiation and ideation phases of new projects
● Co-create OPD’s business development plan by critically analyzing its programs, products, and training
● Co-create OPD’s partnership development strategy with diverse stakeholders such as private sector partners, donor and development partners, and educational institutions
● Plan and host partnership events and external meetings with partners, stakeholders, private sector employers, etc.

Purpose:

The prime responsibility of the Senior Executive, is to execute programs and assist in developing effective campaign strategies and promotions for BYLC Ventures and its affiliated projects.

● Scout and engage with startups that may be keen to join the programs
● Work collaboratively with the Program and Portfolio, Ventures Team to schedule the program sessions and ensure smooth execution of the program and work closely with startups and relevant stakeholders

● Support start-ups in the understanding of the markets in their respective vertical through industry research and outreach

The YLO Development Officer will work closely with youth leaders and organizations to design and implement leadership and organizational development programs that empower young people to become agents of change in their communities. Total 5 YLO Development officers will be recruited to support the organizations in District and Upazila level.

● Closely work with the Project team to develop, design and deliver a capacity-building training module including suggestions for updates and improvements in alignment with the project goal
● Create a database and maintain relationships with youth-led organizations and networks

● Must understand the NEET and EET youth-related issues in respective project areas
