Purpose:
This position is at the heart of the Fundraising and Partnerships team. The Manager will be responsible for BYLC's fundraising and partnership development strategies and initiatives. With a specific focus on prospect researching, proposal writing, partner and donor relationship management, the Manager will support a strong fundraising pipeline aligned to BYLC's strategic plan, mission, and vision.
Core responsibilities:
● Manage the team members, provide technical supports, and monitor daily activities
● Develop strategies for successful engagement with donors and key stakeholders including government and private sectors
● Identify and track fundraising opportunities such as announced call for proposals (CFP/RFP) and request for submission of EOIs from different bilateral, multilateral, and other unsolicited funding organizations
● Lead the fundraising activities in relation with drafting, consolidating, reviewing project concept notes, and technical and financial proposals
● Develop and implement a private sector fundraising strategy to manage sponsorship for our events and programs
● Investigate and contribute to strategic decisions in relation to developing alternative income streams
● Develop new partnerships and manage current engagements including identifying and building relationships with prospective collaborative partners on bids
● Coordinate with all the program teams and other relevant teams to design new program activities and events
● Develop communication materials to showcase our services and success stories
● Communicate BYLC's value proposition to potential donors and partners through presentations and writeups
● Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or senior management team
Education:
Undergraduate or Master’s degree in social sciences, international development, communication and marketing,
economics, business administration or related field
Experience:
At least 7 years’ proven experience of successful partnership development with and fundraising from major donors
and/or foundations in Bangladesh or abroad
Required technical skills:
● Fundraising and resource mobilization skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills and negotiation skills
● Excellent writing and presentation skills
● Excellent ICT skills, demonstrable numerical and budgetary skills, including preparing fundraising budgets and proficient use of excel and spreadsheets
● Flexible and creative with an aptitude for solving problems
Required soft skills:
● Ability to work independently in an organized and responsive manner
● High ethical standards of behavior, good judgment, respect for others, confidentiality, and attention to detail
