Purpose:

Deputy Manager – Fundraising and Partnerships will be responsible for BYLC's fundraising and partnership development activities and initiatives with a specific focus on identifying and developing funding opportunities, responding to proposals, and building new program partnerships. He/she will create a strong fundraising pipeline aligned to BYLC's strategic plan, mission, and vision. The position will be based in Head Office, Dhaka, BYLC.
Core responsibilities:

Strategic: (20%)

● BYLC’s Strategies and project goals, policies, plans, and guidelines are properly maintained
● Support to enhance on to establish strategies for organizational and institutional development, growth, and sustainability
● Initiatives to enhance BYLC’s image and leadership role nationally and globally
● Follow institutional and program regulatory and adherence of country laws and regulations
● Promote and practice BYLC Values (Integrity, Respect Towards Others, Empathy, Excellence in everything We Do, Continuous Development and Practice Adapting Leadership) at all times
● Ensure Safeguard and protection of life and dignity of all associated personnel of BYLC as well as the assets and property.

Operational: (70%)

● Identify and track fundraising opportunities e.g., call for proposals (CFP/RFP) and request for submission of EOIs from different bilateral, multilateral, and other donor organizations
● Identify opportunities for partnership through networking, advocacy, and policy work
● Build relationships with potential funding partners and work with them to design project proposals and budgets, drawing on expertise from across the organization as required
● Manage the team members, provide technical support, and monitor daily activities
● Develop strategies for successful engagement with donors and key stakeholders including public and private sectors
● Lead the fundraising activities in relation to drafting, consolidating, and reviewing project concept notes, and technical and financial proposals
● Develop and implement a private sector fundraising strategy to manage sponsorship for events and programs
● Explore and contribute to strategic decisions in relation to developing alternative income streams
● Develop new partnerships and manage current engagements including identifying and building relationships with prospective collaborative partners on bids
● Coordinate with all the program teams and other relevant teams to design new program activities and events
● Develop communication materials to showcase our services and success stories
● Communicate BYLC's value proposition to potential donors and partners through presentations and write ups
● Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or senior management team.

People Management and Relationship Building: (10%)

● Manage and ensure different initiatives for the capacity building of team members.
● Maintain functional relationships with local government, community people, other partner organizations, with local stakeholders and beneficiaries and other relevant stakeholders for smooth operation of the project.
● Ensure a strong network with other youth organizations, NGOs, government agencies, private sectors, and relevant stakeholders to advocate for promotional events and engagement with private sector agencies.
● To assist in conducting a gender-friendly assessment by following the Organization Name’s Child Protection Policy, Gender Policy and Prevention of Sexual harassment policy, and other relevant guidelines and disseminate the report to the competent authority to address the issue.

Education: Master’s degree in economics, development studies, business administration, and communication is preferred

Experience: At least 5 years

Professional Qualification: Proven experience in fundraising and partnership development

Purpose:

An executive/senior executive of the leadership development and teaching team will lead in coordinating and conducting leadership development programs. S/he will also be responsible for bridging the learning between the instructor and the participants through active observation, interpretation, and intervention. Additionally, S/he will be accountable for all the program-related report writing and curriculum development.

Core responsibilities:

Strategic (30%)

Contributes to ensuring:

1. Instructing in the core programs of SDP, such as BBLT, BBLTJ, APL, LFK, CarrerX, Career Bootcamp, BIJOYI Training, etc.
2. Successful completion of SDP’s core programs
3. Quality service to the students and other relevant stakeholders of BYLC
4. Developing high-quality leadership sessions using experiential learning methodology for youth of different age groups in physical classrooms and/or online instructor sessions
5. Participate in organizational strategic planning to set yearly targets and develop a strategy to reach the goals
6. Research and innovate ways to increase the overall program quality
7. Excellent academic writing capabilities for writing leadership articles and relevant learning material content
8. Related tasks relating to BYLC programs assigned by the SDP management

Operational (40 %):

1. Plan, organize & coordinate online and physical training programs at the office and external venues
a. Willing to travel outside of Dhaka to conduct training sessions of SDP for multiple days
b. Willing to work on weekends for physical/virtual training sessions of SDP (compensatory leave can be availed later)
2. Assist in and contribute towards overall curriculum design and development
3. Manage & coordinate all the logistical items with the support teams
4. Ensure documentation & feedback of the sessions for continuous improvement
5. Prepare budgets for Dhaka and national BBLT/J and relevant programs, and maintain all the financial documentation followed by the organization's policy
6. Synthesize and report regular updates and due deliverables
7. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for the timely execution of SDP programs

People Development (30 %):

1. Directly manage a pool (five to ten) of young leadership facilitators
2. Develop yearly training and development plans for facilitators
3. Arrange and lead regular training programs for the facilitators as per the facilitator development plan
4. Manage performance, evaluate, and provide professional coaching to the facilitators
5. Create a recruitment plan, source and recruit facilitators for different training programs

Desired candidate profile:

Education:
 Minimum graduation in any subject, preferred educational background in educational leadership, curriculum design, and development

Purpose:

The Trainer will work under the USAID Bijoyee Activity project of BYLC, which is the strategic partner of CARE Bangladesh, including some other partner organizations. The project focused on a comprehensive Initiative focused on empowering and engaging young people in Bangladesh. It aims to address various aspects of youth development, including education, skill building soft skills, creating the environment for employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and social inclusion as stated in project documents.

The Trainer will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of the capacity building, learning, facilitating, and training activity with the collaboration of all engaged stakeholders. S/He will ensure its successful execution and timely completion of work under the guidance of the Master Trainer, Skills and Employment Manager Dhaka North team of BYLC. This position will be based in Dhaka North, Gazipur and Manikgonj district under Dhaka North Hub of USAID Bijoyee Activity Project, BYLC.

Core responsibilities:

Strategic: (10%)


● Closely work with the Master Trainer, Skills and Employment Manager of BYLC for developing and designing the training curriculum including suggestions for updates and improvements in align with project goal
● Responsible for implementing and monitoring the training activities in the Hub
● Responsible for conducting cultural orientation classes in accordance with USAID Bijoyee Activity and BYLC guidelines and the curriculum developed by BYLC and provide training for a variety of wide range of participant groups of beneficiaries
● Must understand the NEET and EET youth-related issues in respective project areas

Operational: (75%)

● Responsible for classroom sessions and learning of beneficiaries of the spoke office and Hub
● Conduct training sessions in other working locations of USAID Bijoyee Activity Project, including remote sessions
● Conduct sessions in the spoke office and Hub and collect data for continuous development in curriculum
● Ensure that all attendance records are maintained in the classroom
● Development and implementation of the training schedule and call list when needed
● Ensure a planned logistical arrangement and the upkeep of project facilities when necessary
● Reporting, documentation and communication with BYLC Skills Development and Training Team

People Management and Relationship Building: (15%)

● Manage/ communicate/ collaborate and Networking/ Monitoring and Evaluation of training participants
● Manage and ensure different initiatives for the capacity building of beneficiaries

Essential Requirements:


The Trainer will lead the Training under Dhaka North Hub of USAID Bijoyee Activity team for achieving having:

1) Understanding of design curriculum and facilitation for soft skills training
2) Strengthen youth leadership through targeted support of local youth-led and youth-serving organizations to promote youth participation as decision-makers and key contributors to individual, household, community, and national well-being.
3) Strengthen youth systems, in partnership with youth, to provide more coordinated and effective services, practices, and policies that embody the principles of BYLC.

Education:

● Master's degree in Social Science/MED background with good academic result.

Experience:

● At least 01 year(s) similar level of experiences
● Experience in training and project field management in NGO/ development organization
● Experience in training, learning, and development management for USAID Funded project is mandatory
● Experiences of youth development sector including liaison with GOB and NGOs

Required technical skills:

● Any certification experience skills development trainer (ToT training experience)

The Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, BYLCx will ensure quality production through all stages of content development and create an impactful partnership for the proper implementation of BYLC’s projects, program and services as well as its growth and sustainability.

Core responsibilities:

Product Development:


● Identify learning & development needs of Bangladeshi youth with respect to employer needs
● Develop curriculum, course lists, and learning paths to fill skill/competency gaps. Plan and develop basic course content including video and reading materials, quizzes and evaluations, as well as any corresponding classroom activities
● Develop new and innovative online and blended teaching methods to ensure the best learning outcomes and maximum impact
● Content production/recording videos and taking live sessions as an instructor
● Identify potential instructors or content partners (including business and educational institutes)
● Engage external resources, whether individuals or organizations. Negotiate and execute contracts
● Follow up and guide external resources to prepare content as per given guidelines. Ensure completed within the project time-frame
● Must be able to quickly grasp core principles of content on diverse topics to give meaningful feedback
● Design and continuously improve different engagement and activation programs
● Improve product quality regularly on the BYLCx platform

Partnership Development:

● Secure, manage and coordinate with different partners including external instructors, educational institutions, Student clubs, etc.
● Provide customer support through online platforms and telephone
● Assist manager in managing different partners and stakeholders (third-party service provider, finance and accounts-related partners)

Administrative Support:

● Assist Manager in all the documentation and record keeping
● Report and analyze user engagement with BYLCx platform and content (Data Tracking) and provide support to relevant departments
● Support with all other activities of the BYLCx team as required, including coordinating and hosting live workshops, process development, UX feedback, marketing support, strategic input, etc.

Job Summary:

The Online Learning Designer, Climate Education, will work under the direct supervision of th Manager- Online Climate Education, GYLCx, the online green skills development academy of the Global Youth Leadership Center (GYLC), which exists to expand youth’s knowledge about climate science, equip them with leadership skills to take individual and collective action and enable them to launch businesses that contribute to climate mitigation or adaptation.

The Online Learning Designer will ensure quality production and post-production through all stages of course development, including but not limited to curriculum development, learning design, assessment development, and storyboarding, in collaboration with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

● Identify green skill and competency gaps in the target youth population of the global south
● Design engaging and effective online and blended curriculum with detailed course outlines, learning objectives, and assessments to address identified skill gaps within the project time frame
● Plan and adapt existing content or develop original content (scripts, videos, readings, quizzes, and evaluations) that align with learning objectives and engages diverse learners
● Develop new and innovative online and blended teaching methods to ensure the best learning outcomes and maximum impact
● Identify potential instructors or content partners (including business and educational institutes) and execute partnerships with them
● Must be able to quickly grasp core principles of content on diverse topics to give meaningful feedback
● Design and implement strategies to promote learner engagement and activate learning beyond the course (e.g., community forums)
● Provide comprehensive administrative support to the manager by developing and maintaining accurate and organized documentation systems
● Create and manage reports, presentations, and other communication materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant documentation and record-keeping policies

Responsibility # 3: People Management and Relationship Building 10%

● Manage and ensure different initiatives for the capacity building of team members
● Maintain functional relationships with local government, community people, other partner organizations, with local stakeholders and beneficiaries and other relevant stakeholders for smooth operation of the project
● Ensure a strong network with other youth organizations, NGOs, government agencies, private sectors, and relevant stakeholders to advocate for promotional events and engagement with private sector agencies
● To assist in conducting a gender-friendly assessment by following the Organization Name’s Child Protection Policy, Gender Policy and Prevention of Sexual harassment policy, and other relevant guidelines and disseminate the report to the competent authority to address the issue

Qualification:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, education, community development). Candidates with a degree in Education or Climate-related subjects will have an added advantage

Experience:

● 3 to 4 years’ experience in an Edtech or Climate
● Experience in generating innovative ideas and creative content for digital platforms
● Experience in designing and delivering a capacity-building training online module
● Experience in training, learning, and development management climate-related projects will be advantageous

Required Technical skills:

● Experience in training module development
● Experience in content planning, coordination, and production
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must
● Extraordinary reading habit
● Proficient in G-Suite (including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive), presentation, advanced MS Excel, and PowerPoint presentations
● Excellent report writing and analytical skills
● Able to develop content (scripts/notes/quizzes) from other online research, books, and reading materials

Required Soft Skills:

● Attention to detail, checking videos for errors, and suggesting improvements
● Good facilitation skills and documentation experience
● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and partners in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment
● Should be dedicated to daily task completion
● Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, set priorities, effectively manage time and staff, and meet deadlines

● Implement organizational vision, mission, goals, values, strategies, policies, plans and guidelines for organizational and institutional development, growth and sustainability
● Strengthen credibility, goodwill and leadership of BYLC nationally and internationally
● Ensure effectiveness, efficiency, value for money and compliance in BYLC’s operations (HR, Admin, IT etc.) and program management
● Establish a lean management by automation and digitization of BYLC’s program management and business processes

1. Qualifications

2.a. Education
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Consideration may be given to candidates with substantial experience.

2.b. Experience
At least 15 years of relevant professional experience including at least 8 years in similar senior management role in a large development organization.
