Purpose:
Assistant Manager, Business Development under Grants Management and Business Development department plays a key role in enhancing BYLC's fundraising and partnership efforts. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to secure funding, build relationships with key stakeholders, and expand our network of partners. He/She will oversee grant proposals, cultivate donor relationships, and ensure alignment between fundraising activities and organizational goals. By leveraging their expertise in grants management and business development, this role aims to drive sustainable growth for BYLC, enabling us to effectively empower youth and foster leadership development across Bangladesh.
Major responsibilities (detailed job description will be available for short-listed candidates)
● Develop the long-term financial outlook in relation to BYLC’s new 5-Year Strategy, mobilize resources accordingly and ensure proper implementation
● Write (narrative and budgets) winning materials for concept notes, proposals, RFPs, LOIs, business plans, grant, etc. applications; submit and monitor grant applications; research new funding and business development opportunities
● Maintain and build meaningful partnerships and constructive relationships with donors and other strategic partners on a national and international level
● Develop and roll out a fundraising strategy and Partnership Guidelines with the guidance of management
● Develop the long-term financial outlook in relation to BYLC’s new 5-Year Strategy, mobilize resources accordingly and ensure proper implementation
● Write (narrative and budgets) winning materials for concept notes, proposals, RFPs, LOIs, business plans, grant, etc. applications; submit and monitor grant applications; research new funding and business development opportunities
● Monitor and track opportunities such as calls for proposals (CFP/RFP) and requests for submission of EOIs from various funding organizations, including bilateral and multilateral entities
● Contribute to strategic decisions for developing alternative income streams
● Develop strategies for successful engagement with donors and key stakeholders, including public and private sectors
● Develop communication materials to showcase BYLC's services and success stories
Desired candidate profile:
Education:
● Master’s degree in Business or Social Science
Experience:
● 4-5 years of experience in relevant areas
Duration:
● 3 years (based on the availability of funds)
