Proposal:

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our organization and will assist in the day-to-day operations of BYLC’s Information Technology department. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development principles, and the ability to lead or mentor a team of developers.

Responsibilities:

Strategic (10%):

● Collaborate with department lead and other operational departments to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements and automation
● Ensure that the software development process aligns with industry best practices and standards

Operational (80%):

● Design UX to show prototype of software before development
● Design and develop database
● Development phase
● Testing and Deployment

People Development (10%):

● Mentor a team of junior developers (project assistant) to ensure that they deliver high-quality code on time and within budget
● Provide guidance and support to team members to help them develop their skills and deliver the projects
● Foster a positive and collaborative team environment

Core technical skills:

● Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
● Strong Knowledge of ERP System work breakdown structure
● Interaction design understanding, with a passion for usability and web accessibility
● Solid understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 and Responsive Design. Familiarity with Bootstrap is a plus
● Solid understanding of client-side library such React or Vue
● Solid understanding of server-side language (PHP, Laravel, Nodejs, MySQL, MongoDB)
● Experience with databases, APIs, and web services
● Experience in working and sound knowledge in ERP system
● Experience with Git (particularly GitHub) or other version control technologies
● Knowledge in cloud services (AWS, Azure)
● Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
● Testing and debugging skills

● Keeping up-to-dated with the latest development practices
● Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
